I have been working on this post ever since I started this blog and just never seem to be able to get what is in my heart out on the keyboard, but this is the best my human mind can do.
I am going to start this post by saying, “I am a Christian”. I am a born-again believer. I have trusted Christ and He is the Savior of my soul. Whatever way I put it, it means the same thing. I strive to keep God as the number one priority in my life. John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:13, Romans 10:13
I know right now you can’t believe that I am admitting that and secondly you can’t believe that I am trying to get a blog going in the beauty world.
There aren’t many Christian bloggers that blog about beauty because the Bible says the outside should not be the most important thing, and should not be covering up our ugliness on the inside. I love to play with makeup. It is something fun for me, but I understand that my relationship with Christ and my relationship with others comes first. This is also a bonding experience for my girls and I, we talk about makeup together and I show them how things are used, and when they are old enough, I will teach them how to wear it for themselves if they are interested. However, I stress that Christ wants us to be beautiful on the inside, and that kind of beauty is the most important. My desire is to reflect on the outside what I feel on the inside. Christ has made me beautiful in His sight! Ecclesiastes 3:11
My relationship with Christ shapes who I am. As a result, there are companies, brands, and products that I won’t buy and can’t use because of my Christian faith. Lord willing, I will not compromise what I believe in order to get to a certain place in life. I am sure this will not help me in my endeavor, but my goal in everything I do is to honor Christ. I feel that I should be upfront and honest and if this writing gives me the privilege of being able to share His love with someone else, I will count this blog successful.
I am so excited to share my love of skin care and beauty products with all of you!
